How to Use the Voodoo Doll
The Voodoo Doll's primary function is to provoke the ghost into revealing evidence. By inserting pins one by one, you instigate ghost activity, making it particularly useful for elusive or unresponsive entities. This can lead to the manifestation of evidence like EMF5 readings or UV fingerprints.
Ten pins are available for insertion. However, each pin carries a sanity cost: 5% per pin, totaling 50% sanity loss if all pins are used. This significantly increases the risk of a ghost hunt.
The most significant risk lies in the heart pin. Pin insertion is random; hitting the heart pin instantly triggers a Cursed Hunt, reducing sanity by 10% and initiating a prolonged (20 seconds longer) ghost hunt in close proximity to the player.
Despite the inherent risks, the potential for expedited evidence gathering makes the Voodoo Doll a viable option for well-prepared teams.
