Techland Expands Dying Light 2 with Free Tower Raid Roguelite Mode

Techland expands the Dying Light 2 experience with Tower Raid, a thrilling new roguelite mode offering unpredictable gameplay and intense survival challenges. Following extensive testing, this highly anticipated mode is now live, providing a completely fresh perspective on the infected world.

Forget Aiden Caldwell; in Tower Raid, you choose from four unique warrior classes—Tank, Brawler, Ranger, and Specialist—each boasting distinct abilities and encouraging diverse playstyles and strategic teamwork. For a truly intense experience, tackle the tower solo or with a reduced team size.

Three difficulty levels—Quick, Normal, and Elite—cater to varying skill levels, influencing run intensity and length. Procedurally generated levels ensure every climb is unique, demanding adaptability and strategic thinking to overcome shifting layouts and unpredictable enemy encounters.

A dynamic progression system ensures that failure fuels success. Each failed attempt unlocks new abilities and weapons, steadily increasing your chances of victory. At the tower's heart awaits Sola, a mysterious merchant offering rare rewards like the Office Day Outfit, Kuai Dagger, and Silenced Pistol to those who prove their worth.

While preparations for Dying Light: The Beast are underway, Techland remains dedicated to enhancing Dying Light 2 throughout 2025. Future updates promise improved co-op, refined matchmaking, enhanced community map integration, additional Tower Raid characters, new melee and ranged weapons, a new weapon class, prologue enhancements, and significant graphical and technical optimizations.
