Remember SAOVS, the action RPG by Bandai Namco that hit the scene back in November 2022? Well, fans of Sword Art Online Variant Showdown, rejoice! After a seemingly endless maintenance that kicked off in September 2023, the game is back and better than ever. Initially, the devs promised the maintenance would wrap up by summer 2024, but it took a bit longer to iron out some core functionality issues.
Sword Art Online Variant Showdown Re-released, So What’s New?
Get ready to dive back into the action because they've launched Battle Royal Season 1. In this thrilling mode, four players enter the arena, and the one with the most KOs takes home the glory. Assemble your top team, jump into League Matches, and earn those coveted Titles and accessories. The season runs until December 30th, so don’t miss out!
For those of you who stuck around before the maintenance break, the devs haven’t forgotten you. The Returning Player Campaign is rewarding loyal players with 5 [Sword Spark] Mito Pickup Scout Tickets. It's their way of saying thanks for your patience and support.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. The Restart Celebration: Six Great Campaigns event is now live! You can snag up to 100 free Scouts, collect login bonuses, and complete missions for some truly epic rewards. This event runs until January 30th, 2025, so make the most of it.
There’s also a chance to add SSR [Sword Spark] Mito, a Light-elemental fighter, to your roster. Plus, the new SSR Ability Cards ‘Destroyer of Destiny’ and ‘Seasoned Comrades’ are available, but only until January 6th, 2025. Don’t let these slip through your fingers!
