"Spider-Season Swings Into 'Marvel Snap'"

Authore: AndrewUpdate:Apr 02,2025

As we wave goodbye to August and the Young Avengers season, *Marvel Snap* (Free) has already launched into a thrilling new chapter. Get ready for the Amazing Spider-Season, where the action and excitement swing in with new cards and locations that are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! While Bonesaw might not be making an appearance this time, the season promises to be packed with spider-themed surprises.

This season is introducing a game-changing feature: the Activate ability. Unlike traditional On Reveal abilities, Activate lets you choose the perfect moment to unleash your card's power, offering strategic depth and the chance to outsmart your opponents. The star of the Season Pass, Symbiote Spider-Man, perfectly showcases this new mechanic. As a 4-Cost 6-Power card, he can absorb the lowest-cost card at his location and copy its text, including On Reveal effects. Paired with cards like Galactus, the potential for mischief is endless. Don't be surprised if this card sees some adjustments before the season's over—it's already proving to be a blast to play with.

But Symbiote Spider-Man isn't the only new addition. Silver Sable, a 1-Cost 1-Power card, brings an On Reveal ability that siphons two power from the top card of your opponent's deck. She's a solid choice on her own and even better when combined with specific locations and other cards. Madame Web, another 1-Cost 1-Power card, adds an Ongoing ability that lets you move another card at her location once per turn, adding a dynamic element to your gameplay.

Next up, Arana, also a 1-Cost 1-Power card, introduces another Activate ability. When activated, she moves the next card you play to the right and boosts it with +2 Power, making her a must-have for move decks. Scarlet Spider, the Ben Reilly version, is a 4-Cost 5-Power card with an Activate ability that creates an exact clone of himself at another location. It's all about multiplying your power and dominating the board!

The new locations this season are equally intriguing. The Brooklyn Bridge, a staple in Spider-Man's world, challenges you to not place cards there two turns in a row, demanding creative strategies. Otto's Lab, on the other hand, mirrors Otto Octavius himself by pulling a card from your opponent's hand to the location when you play a card there, adding an element of surprise to your tactics.

The Amazing Spider-Season in *Marvel Snap* is packed with exciting new cards and strategic locations that are sure to shake up the meta. With the innovative Activate ability, players have more control over their game plans than ever before. Our September deck guide will be up soon to help you navigate this web-slinging season.
