The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. With an impressive $500,000 prize pool at stake, the Open Qualifiers started on February 13th, offering a platform for emerging talent to showcase their skills and secure a spot in the PMGO Main Event.
This tournament is exclusively for amateurs, ensuring that new talent gets a chance to shine on the global stage. Teams with at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, these up-and-coming squads will compete fiercely for a place in the PMGO Prelims, where they'll face off against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the opportunity to challenge PUBG Mobile's elite professionals at the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Additionally, four more teams will join them from regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading directly into the Main Event on April 12th-13th. This event sets the stage for an exciting year in PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC scheduled to return later in 2025.
