Rome's newest attraction: GAMM, the Game Museum! A sprawling 700-square-meter space, located in Piazza della Repubblica, GAMM is now open to the public, offering a unique blend of gaming history, technology, and interactive experiences. The brainchild of Marco Accordi Rickards, CEO of Vigamus, GAMM builds upon the legacy of its predecessor, another successful Rome gaming museum.
GAMM's immersive journey is divided into three captivating zones:
-
GAMMDOME: A digital playground featuring interactive exhibits alongside authentic gaming artifacts, including consoles and donations. The experience is built around the 4E concept: Experience, Exhibition, Education, and Entertainment.
-
PARC (Path of Arcadia): A nostalgic trip back to the golden age of arcade games, showcasing classic titles from the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s.
-
HIP (Historical Playground): Delve into the mechanics and design of games, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the evolution of gaming.
GAMM is open Monday to Thursday from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Fridays and Saturdays until 11:30 PM. Tickets cost 15 euros. Visit the official GAMM website for more information.
