After being accused of using a "booster" service to level up a character in Path of Exile 2 to 97, Elon Musk shared private messages with a streamer, sparking a heated online debate.
The controversy erupted following a 32-minute video released by Asmongold, who delved into allegations of "cheating" by Musk. Rumors suggested that Musk might have either purchased a high-level character or employed someone to level it up in-game. Asmongold's video highlighted the immense time commitment required to reach level 97, raising skepticism about how Musk could manage this alongside his responsibilities at SpaceX, Tesla, and X.
Players further criticized Musk's gameplay during his streams, noting his apparent lack of understanding, which seemed inconsistent with someone who allegedly leveled a character from zero to 97.

In response to Asmongold's video, Musk claimed he too "needs to coordinate with the boss," and insinuated that the streamer had to consult with a team of editors before publishing content on the X network.
Asmongold countered by clarifying that he does not have a boss, and that any editors he works with are under his employment. He explained that this practice is standard among YouTube and Twitch streamers, enabling them to concentrate on content creation while delegating editing tasks.
According to Asmongold, Musk's remarks only underscored his lack of understanding about the behind-the-scenes processes of content creation.
