If auto-renewal is active, the subscription fee will be charged to your account.

You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal in your iTunes account settings post-purchase, but you cannot cancel the current active period—only the upcoming one. Any unused part of a free trial, if offered, will be forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
