Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each with players seated opposite one another. Using a standard 52-card deck, gameplay proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" initiates a "paper throwing" mini-game. They throw a type of paper onto the floor, and other players must match the type of paper. The first player to successfully match the paper type wins the "Bamh." However, "Tarneeb" papers are superior; a "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger "Tarneeb" paper is thrown. The round concludes when all players have played.

Point accounting is crucial. A team must successfully achieve their bidded number of "Allmat" to earn points; otherwise, they lose points, and the opposing team gains points based on the number of "Allmat" they secured. Achieving 13 "Allmat" without bidding for 13 awards 16 points; a successful bid of 13 earns 26 points. Conversely, failing to achieve a bid of 13 results in a 16-point deduction.

The game ends when a team reaches a cumulative score of 41 or more, declaring that team the victor.
