Download This app lets you experience the fascinating Stroop Effect and challenge your cognitive abilities. It highlights the conflict between visual processing (color perception) and cognitive processing (word recognition) in the brain.
The Stroop test presents a cognitive challenge. Neuroscience shows that eye signals reach the brain faster than rational thought processing. Time pressure exacerbates this, creating an urge to choose incorrect answers. Success requires conscious effort, focus, and speed.
How to Play:
- Choose one of two modes: "Get Meaning, Put Color" (default) or "Get Color, Put Meaning."
- Click the colored button that matches the word (Mode 1) or the text (Mode 2).
- Aim for as many correct answers as possible.
- Once you master accuracy, focus on improving your speed.
