Zenless Zone Zero's Version 1.5 Update Introduces S-Rank Agent Reruns
Version 1.5 of Zenless Zone Zero marks a significant shift in the game's character release strategy. For the first time, players will have a chance to obtain previously released S-Rank agents, a feature long requested by the community. This departure from the game's initial focus on exclusively new agents mirrors the rerun banner systems seen in other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact.
The update is divided into two phases. Phase 1 (January 22nd - February 12th) features the new Ether agent, Astra Yao, alongside a rerun banner for Ellen Joe (originally introduced in Version 1.1). This phase also includes the addition of Ellen Joe's Agent Story. Phase 2 (February 12th - March 11th) introduces Evelyn Chevalier and a rerun banner for Qingyi, another agent from Version 1.1. Both rerun banners will also offer the respective characters' signature W-Engines.
This update confirms earlier speculation and addresses player concerns regarding the lack of rerun banners. The decision to implement reruns is a positive change that provides more accessibility to previously missed characters.
Furthermore, Version 1.5 will introduce three new character outfits: "Chandelier" for Astra, "On Campus" for Ellen, and "Cunning Cutie" for Nicole. The "Cunning Cutie" outfit for Nicole will be available as a reward during the limited-time Day of Brilliant Wishes event. The inclusion of these outfits adds another layer of customization and excitement to the update. The timing of these reruns and new outfits should significantly boost player engagement and provide a fresh experience for both veteran and new players alike.
