Kemco has released an intriguing new visual novel exclusively for Android titled "Together We Live," which delves into a profound narrative set in a post-apocalyptic world. This game, already available on Steam for PC, explores themes of human sins and the arduous journey of atonement.
A Girl Atoning for Humans’ Sins
The story follows the protagonist, Kyoya, who embarks on a surreal journey. He awakens in a dimly lit room to discover it's the year 4000, nearly 2000 years after his last memory. The Earth has transformed into a desolate wasteland, and the only other presence is a mysterious girl who becomes his guide and confidante.
This girl is trapped in a relentless cycle, dying repeatedly to atone for humanity's sins—dozens, hundreds, thousands of times. Each resurrection marks the beginning of her suffering anew. The brutality of her existence stirs Kyoya, compelling him to teach her about happiness.
The narrative pacing may initially seem slow, but as it unfolds, the story's twists, turns, and seemingly minor details become crucial, enriching the experience.
