Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O: Steam RemasterSEGA is bringing the popular Virtua Fighter franchise to Steam for the very first time with Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. This latest remaster builds upon the foundation of the 18-year-old Virtua Fighter 5, marking the fifth major iteration of the game. While a precise release date remains undisclosed, SEGA confirms a winter launch.

Despite its numerous previous releases, SEGA proudly proclaims Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O as "the ultimate remaster." Key features include rollback netcode for smooth online play, stunning 4K graphics with updated high-resolution textures, and a boosted 60fps framerate for incredibly fluid gameplay.

Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O: Enhanced GameplayClassic modes like Rank Match, Arcade, Training, and Versus return, joined by exciting new additions. Players can now organize custom online tournaments and leagues accommodating up to 16 participants, and a Spectator Mode lets players observe matches and learn new strategies.

The YouTube trailer has generated overwhelmingly positive feedback, with fans expressing their enthusiasm for another Virtua Fighter 5 iteration and its PC release. While excitement is high, calls for Virtua Fighter 6 continue, with one humorous comment suggesting its release will coincide with a post-apocalyptic, internet-less future.

Initially Mistaken for Virtua Fighter 6

SEGA's global head of transmedia, Justin Scarpone, mentioned several legacy titles in development, including "another Virtua Fighter." This fueled anticipation for a new entry in the series.

However, the November 22nd Steam listing for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O surprised many, showcasing upgraded visuals, new modes, and the crucial addition of rollback netcode.
