The popular first-person shooter PvP Roblox experience, Rivals, has just dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting new Gunblade weapon and the dynamic Bridge map.
Developer Nosniy Games outlined these additions in today's patch notes, alongside a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some previous releases, it still packs a punch for players. Rivals players appreciate the core FPS gameplay and the unique weapon arsenal, and the Gunblade fits perfectly. This versatile weapon functions as both a ranged rifle and a melee blade, offering strategic advantages. The new Bridge map, a suspended concrete arena in Seoul created by @GreatGuyBoom, intensifies close-quarters combat, forcing players into immediate action within a confined space featuring only a few concrete barriers and a bus.
Notably, Rivals Update 9 patch notes omit specific bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements. The developers explain this focus on the Bridge map and Gunblade, with minor skin modifications for the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi, and renaming of the Hexxed Flare Gun, Hexxed Candle, and Hexxed wrap to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, and Vexed respectively. However, Nosniy Games assures players that more significant changes, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode, are coming in the next major update.
"We value your feedback and want to assure you that all necessary improvements will be implemented in time for Ranked," the team stated.

The Demon Shorty & Demon Uzi skins have been slightly modified. The Hexxed Flare Gun skin, Hexxed Candle skin, and Hexxed wrap have been renamed to Vexed Flare Gun, Vexed Candle, & Vexed respectively.
