Announced back in June 2020, with periodic updates and teases, skate. is finally ready for its console playtest on PlayStation and Xbox. While a PC beta date remains unannounced, fans can register as Insiders to receive updates.
According to the game's official X (formerly Twitter) account, console playtesting has been underway since at least December, possibly even September, as highlighted in recent videos. However, developer Full Circle continues to welcome new players to participate in the ongoing development process.
To join the beta, visit EA's official website, navigate to the skate. page, and register for Skate Insider Playtesting. Early access testers (Insiders) will receive exclusive rewards, including an in-game skateboard and stickers upon the Early Access launch.
skate. is slated for Early Access release sometime in 2025. This marks the franchise's return after nearly a decade since Skate 3, and will be available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. Set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, it's designed as a free-to-play, live-service game promising an "authentic evolution" of the nearly 20-year-old series, as detailed in a previous Full Circle YouTube interview.
