Weapon Upgrades in Jingle Hells
Unlike the standard Black Ops 6 Zombies experience, the Arsenal Machine is absent from Jingle Hells. Weapon upgrades rely on Aether Tools, consumable items with varying rarity levels (color-coded). Using an Aether Tool upgrades your weapon to that rarity tier (e.g., a purple Aether Tool upgrades to Legendary). Here's how to obtain them:
- Church Spire: Toss a grenade at the zombie head atop the church spire. The head's destruction unleashes zombies, one of which drops an Aether Tool. Later rounds yield higher-rarity tools.
- Bank Vault: Loot Keys unlock safety deposit boxes in the Bank Vault, which have a chance of containing Aether Tools.
- S.A.M. Trials: Completing S.A.M. Trials, especially at higher reward tiers, can reward Aether Tools.
- Hidden Power GobbleGum: Instantly upgrades your weapon to Legendary rarity.
- Mystery Box, Wall Buys, Holiday Presents: Weapons obtained from these sources increase in rarity as the round progresses.
Ammo Mods: Cryo Freeze
In Jingle Hells, the Cryo Freeze Ammo Mod is the only available option, dropping as a consumable item. The primary source is Holiday Presents, which offer random loot with higher-rarity chances in later rounds. Holiday Presents can be obtained in several ways:
- Enemy Kills: Sometimes drop upon killing enemies.
- Naughty or Nice Power-up: This stocking-shaped power-up grants either a "Nice" (multiple Holiday Presents) or "Naughty" (vermin enemies) effect.
- S.A.M. Machine: Spawns Holiday Presents around itself when active.
Equipment and Support
The Workbench's absence means no Salvage-based equipment crafting or Support items like Chopper Gunners, Mutant Injections, or Self Revives. However, these can still be acquired through:
- Enemy Kills: Equipment drops from regular enemies.
