Beloved Sims Character Joins The Sims 4

Authore: ClaireUpdate:Apr 08,2025

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a grand return to your virtual neighborhoods with the latest update for The Sims 4. Available now on both PC and console, this update brings back the infamous Robin Banks, so it's time to secure your Sims' valuables. She typically strikes under the cover of night, targeting homes when everyone's asleep, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to attempt a heist even when Sims are awake.

To fend off this crafty thief, your Sims can install a burglar alarm. If Robin triggers it, the police will arrive promptly to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen items. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the police can save the day. Alternatively, if you're feeling bold, you might opt for some vigilante justice—it's entirely up to you.

While burglar events are designed to be rare, if you crave more excitement, you can activate the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc to increase the likelihood of a visit from Robin Banks.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," The Sims' team shared. "A huge thank you to our dedicated team for making this happen. Robin Banks isn’t just here to rob your Sims’ houses—she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims' 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite The Sims 4 being a decade old—and the series celebrating its 25th anniversary—it continues to thrive. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4, which was initially a premium game, took four years to reach 20 million unique players. However, after going free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million players by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
