What Can You Do After You Finish Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Answered
After completing the main quest, Assassin’s Creed Shadows still offers a wealth of activities. The game's expansive open world, set in Feudal Japan, remains open for exploration and is filled with side content. You can continue to explore and experience everything the game has to offer even after finishing the main story.
Additionally, post-launch, the Animus will introduce new weekly challenges, ensuring there's always something new to do, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
Even after the credits roll, the story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows may not be fully complete. In my playthrough, the credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I hadn't yet earned the trophy for finishing Act 3 or The Epilogue. To unlock the epilogue and the true ending, you need to complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro. After that, return to the Hideout and speak with Tomiko to unlock the complete ending and associated achievements.
Additionally, players can unlock exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke towards the end of the game. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle and feature designs that resonate with long-time Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, players can continue to progress and level up to the game’s maximum level cap long after the credits roll.
What’s Next For Assassin’s Creed Shadows?
While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, there's still much to anticipate. New content will be added through the Animus, and the in-game store will likely be updated with new items. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release later in 2025, introducing over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
