HoYoverse's mobile hit, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its impressive market performance. The recent 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its launch day revenue in July 2024.
According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's total mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa (offered free to all players as a promotional incentive), along with significant gameplay enhancements, new areas, and game modes. The Hoshimi Miyabi banner proved particularly lucrative.
Remarkably, the update maintained player engagement far beyond the typical post-update spending decline. Daily revenue remained above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days and held steady at over $500,000 even two weeks after the release.
While a significant achievement, Zenless Zone Zero's revenue still trails behind HoYoverse's other major titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
