To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio is letting fans vote on the next official merchandise items! A whopping 100 bizarre and wonderful options are available, with the top two vote-getters slated for release within the next two years. The poll is currently only available in Japanese, but submissions can be made via the official website.
While some options are more conventional, like anniversary hoodies and pencil cases, many others are delightfully eccentric, drawing inspiration from the series' memorable moments and characters. These include:
- Cult Leader Attire: Munan Suzuki's outfit from Yakuza 0.
- The Traffic Cone: Majima's infamous hiding spot from Yakuza Kiwami.
- "Puffy Gold Pants": Need we say more?
- Majima's Sake: From Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
- Akiyama's Gold Watch: A fan-favorite item.
- Kiryu's Fountain Pen: From Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
- Kashiwagi's Tambourine: A karaoke essential from Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
- Kiryu's Wrestling Mask: From Yakuza 3.
- Saejima's Prisoner Uniform: From Yakuza 4.

The studio is already planning at least one new game release for the anniversary year: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, launching February 21st, 2025. While a second release is unconfirmed, RGG Studio's prolific output in recent years (nine games in the last five years alone!) suggests it's certainly within the realm of possibility. This impressive track record includes titles like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Judgment Remastered, Lost Judgment, Like a Dragon: Ishin, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, and Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, along with other projects.
