Mortal Kombat 1 has unveiled back-to-back character reveals. Yesterday's esports trailer hinted at the T-1000, but the Terminator isn't the immediate addition. Instead, Conan the Barbarian takes center stage, with a gameplay trailer dropping today, preceding his release next week for premium edition owners.
Conan's gameplay showcases a powerful, brutish fighting style. His attacks appear devastating, though his lack of agility might be offset by his sword's reach. Showdowns against characters like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander will be intriguing to witness.
While visually reminiscent of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Conan's fatality lacks the spectacular flair of some other MK1 finishers. His acid-drowning technique is somewhat underwhelming. Nevertheless, his overall gameplay promises to be entertaining.
Premium edition owners gain early access on Tuesday, while everyone else must wait until January 28th.
