A long-awaited Christmas miracle has arrived for Team Fortress 2 fans! Valve has unexpectedly released a new comic for the popular team-based shooter. The announcement appeared on the official game website.
Entitled "The Days Have Worn Away," this is the seventh numbered installment and the 29th comic overall, including special event and themed releases. The last TF2 comic was released in 2017, marking a seven-year wait for this latest addition.
Valve playfully acknowledged the extended development time, likening it to the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They humorously pointed out that while the builders of the Italian landmark didn't live to see its completion, TF2 players only had to wait a mere seven years.

"The Days Have Worn Away" provides a satisfying conclusion to the ongoing storyline. Hints from Erik Wolpaw, via a tweet on X, suggest this may be the final comic, referring to "the very last meeting" for the TF2 comic series. While the end of the series is likely, players can at least enjoy a fulfilling narrative closure and a dose of festive cheer.
