Upcoming Pokémon Legends Title Leaked

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Potential August 2025 Release Date Surfaces

A potential release date for the highly anticipated Pokémon Legends: Z-A has emerged, pointing towards an August 15, 2025 launch. This date was briefly listed on Amazon UK in early January 2025 before being swiftly removed, replaced with a generic placeholder date.

The leaked date aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window for the game, initially announced during the Pokémon Day 2024 celebrations. Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus, is expected to continue the open-ended gameplay style, prioritizing collection over traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible?

While the Amazon leak remains unconfirmed, the official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Given the game's initial announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, it's plausible the release date will be unveiled during the 2025 Pokémon Day event, anticipated for February 27th. This date aligns with evidence found by a dataminer within the latest Pokémon GO build.

Beyond the release date, fans eagerly await a gameplay reveal, which could also debut during the February 2025 Pokémon Presents broadcast.

Switch and Switch 2 Compatibility Confirmed

Initially announced as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will also be playable on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, thanks to confirmed backward compatibility. While the extent of post-launch content remains unclear, it's worth noting that Pokémon Legends: Arceus received only one free DLC update.
