Mastering Spider-Man's Spider-Tracer in Marvel Rivals: A Comprehensive Guide

Whether you're a seasoned Spider-Man player or tackling Marvel Rivals challenges, understanding the Spider-Tracer mechanic is crucial for success. This guide explains what a Spider-Tracer is and how to effectively utilize it in combat.

What is a Spider-Tracer?

The Spider-Tracer move in Marvel Rivals. While Marvel Rivals doesn't explicitly define it, a Spider-Tracer is a marker left by Spider-Man after using his Web-Cluster ability (LT on console, Right Click on PC). Although the Web-Cluster itself inflicts minimal damage, the Spider-Tracer significantly enhances subsequent attacks, making it a game-changer, especially for Peter Parker mains.

Utilizing the Spider-Tracer

The Web-Cluster starts with five charges, enabling five simultaneous Spider-Tracers. Hitting an opponent with Web-Cluster applies the tracer, slightly damaging them but setting the stage for powerful follow-up moves.

Spider-Man's moves affected by Spider-Tracers:

  • Spider-Power (R2/Left Click): Deals increased damage to tagged opponents.
  • Get Over Here! (R1/E): Instead of pulling the enemy to Spider-Man, this ability now pulls Spider-Man to the tagged enemy.
  • Amazing Combo (Square/X/F): Inflicts amplified damage on marked targets.

Optimal Spider-Tracer Combos

The key is strategic follow-ups. For maximum impact, combine Spider-Tracer with Amazing Combo (dealing 110 damage) followed by Spider-Power for a devastating finish.

Get Over Here!, while risky when the enemy has backup, becomes advantageous when an opponent flanks your team. Spider-Man's agility mitigates the risk, allowing for quick escapes.
