The safe is located in the middle of the Museum Wing storage room. Instead of a note, the code is hidden.

To find it:

Locate the green lamp on a crate to the left of the safe.
Turn off the lamp.
The code, 7171, will be revealed in pink on the wooden crates.
Enter this code into the safe to unlock it.

The safe contains a Drinking Horn artifact for your Lost Artifacts of Europe collection.

Locating the Museum Wing Storage Room

The Museum Wing storage room is situated between the Belvedere Courtyard and the Pharmacy in Vatican City. Proceed right from the Belvedere Courtyard; you'll find a gate leading to the Museum Wing courtyard. Follow the courtyard until you reach an open door at its end. This door leads to the storage room containing the safe.
