Gacha game enthusiasts are always keen on tracking the financial performance of their favorite titles. The January 2025 figures have just been released, providing a fresh perspective on the genre's top earners. A significant highlight was Genshin Impact's major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the Mawuika banner, which captured widespread attention. This update propelled miHoYo's (HoYoverse) flagship game to double its revenue, reaching an impressive $99.4 million, compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

In the revenue rankings, Pokemon TCG secured the second spot with earnings of $64 million, while Love and Deepspace, often referred to as a "female gacha," claimed the third position with $55.2 million. Meanwhile, Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, totaling $50.8 million. Zenless Zone Zero faced a significant decline, with its revenue halving from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.
It's important to note that these rankings exclusively reflect earnings from mobile platforms, despite some titles also being available on PC, such as those from miHoYo. Additionally, a crucial detail in the revenue calculation method is that, due to Google Play's absence in China, Android revenue estimates for the region are derived using a multiplier based on iOS earnings within the country.
