Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, the Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's high school freshman year, has received early renewals for both Seasons 2 and 3.
Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with storyboards already half-finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. The green light has also been given for Season 3.
Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the series, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off." He further emphasized the deepening character development throughout the planned seasons.

While Winderbaum confirmed upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's concept, he remained tight-lipped about release dates for both Seasons 2 and 3.
The series follows Peter Parker's initial year navigating high school alongside his newfound superpowers. Whether subsequent seasons will chronologically follow Peter's sophomore and junior years, or explore alternative storylines within his freshman year, remains to be seen.
