If you've been a longtime reader of the site (and is that about to become my new catchphrase?) you may notice that we've covered the Roterra series quite extensively over the years. And with its fifth anniversary now impending, it's no surprise that Roterra Just Puzzles is the best way to celebrate this venerable half-decade!
Mind-bending is certainly an accurate way to describe the Roterra series, what with its constantly rotating blocks, dreamlike atmosphere and yet bizarrely simple gameplay. Your objective, put simply, is to arrange the blocks, forming paths to allow your chosen character to move and navigate the maze.
Deceptively simple to learn, yet fiendishly hard to master. Fortunately, Roterra Just Puzzles does what it says on the tin, offering new freedom to pick and choose both your character and a given puzzle. You can also view solution videos if you get stuck, and each puzzle is designed to provide a bite-sized challenge for those on a time crunch.
Twist and shoutWhile we may not have given the first entry in the Roterra series a stellar review, it's undoubtedly been one that has come a fair way in the past few years. Reviews remain similarly mixed even amongst our App Army, but if there's one thing that almost everyone seems to agree upon, it's that Roterra stands out.
As for what I think? I get the vibe from Roterra of one of those bargain-bin puzzlers you used to get on PC, which is not to denigrate it. Often, you'd snap up something and pop it in, only to find a mind-bending challenge which, while often a bit scuffed as the saying goes, would still be more than enough to satisfy.
That and in my humble opinion it's nice to see a series that isn't doing match three again.
