Ubisoft's Rainbow Six Siege X: A Major Update, Not a New Game

Ubisoft recently unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, not as a new game, but as a significant upgrade to the existing Rainbow Six Siege experience, ahead of the game's 10th anniversary. This major overhaul, announced February 17th, 2025, will be showcased in detail on March 13th, 2025.

The Rainbow Six Siege X showcase, taking place March 13th, 2025, at 10:00 am PDT / 1:00 pm EDT in Atlanta, Georgia, promises an immersive look at the game's dramatic transformations. Attendees can purchase a $10 ticket for in-person attendance, including a commemorative shirt and in-game cosmetic items. Eligibility is restricted to legal residents of the USA and Canada, aged 18 or older, with an unbanned Rainbow Six Siege account.

A VIP package giveaway, including travel and accommodation, is also available for two lucky fans from the USA and Canada.

The update boasts "new gameplay mechanics, enhanced tactical depth, refined controls, and comprehensive upgrades," with specifics to be revealed during the showcase.

Rainbow Six Siege's 10th Anniversary & Season 10:

Initially launched December 1st, 2015, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC (later ported to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S), Rainbow Six Siege has enjoyed a long lifespan as a live-service title. This major update promises to further extend its longevity.

Ubisoft also announced a new operator, Aurora (with deployable bulletproof doors), a new elite skin for Aruni, and a revamped reputation system for Season 10, "Operation Prep Phase," launching March 4th, 2025.
