Pokémon Center Hiroshima Relocates, Unveils Gyarados Plaza
The Pokémon Center Hiroshima will temporarily close its doors in March 2025, reopening at a new location in April 2025. Simultaneously, a new Gyarados Plaza will debut in March.
Pokémon Center Hiroshima's Move
The store's relocation will see it move to "the second floor of Ekie, the north exit of Hiroshima Station, around April 2025!" Currently situated on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, the store, open since June 2015, will enjoy a new home.
Gyarados Plaza Opens at Hiroshima Station
The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" will open March 24, 2025, on the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza, located within the new Minamoa building at Hiroshima Station. This playground features large Gyarados-themed play equipment. Initially, reservations will be required to use the equipment; details will be released on the Minamoa website.
Poke-lun TV Nationwide Event
Before closing, Pokémon Centers across Japan, including Hiroshima, will host a nationwide event celebrating "Poke-lun TV" surpassing 1 million subscribers. Fans can receive a free sticker by providing a password from a December 19, 2024, YouTube video.
Select Pokémon Centers (Mega Tokyo, Osaka, and Okinawa) will feature photo opportunities with Poke-lun TV hosts. This event runs from January 17, 2025, to February 16, 2025, and excludes Pokémon Stores, online stores, cafes, and Pikachu Sweets.
