Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) has appointed Hideaki Nishino as its sole CEO, effective April 1, 2025. This announcement, part of a broader leadership reshuffle at Sony Corporation, also reveals the promotion of Hiroki Totoki to President and CEO of Sony, replacing Kenichiro Yoshida. Lin Tao assumes the role of CFO.
Previously, Nishino and Hermen Hulst shared leadership of SIE following Jim Ryan's departure. Hulst, as head of PlayStation Studios, retains his position, while Nishino now assumes complete oversight of SIE operations, including the platform business group.
Nishino, a Sony veteran since 2000, previously served as SVP, Platform Experience Group. In his statement, he expressed his honor at leading SIE, emphasizing the company's commitment to technological innovation and creative experiences, specifically mentioning plans for IP expansion and growth of the PlayStation community. He also acknowledged Hulst's contributions.
