Pokemon GO's Shadow Raid Day: A Ho-Oh Extravaganza on January 19th
Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokemon GO is kicking off 2025 with a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th. This event offers trainers a fantastic opportunity to capture this powerful Fire-type Pokemon.
This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of the year, offering a fresh challenge for players. Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, provide a unique way to obtain these powerful Pokemon variants. Following successful events featuring Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo in 2024, Ho-Oh's return promises another exciting addition.
Event Details:
- Date: Sunday, January 19th, 2025
- Time: 2 pm to 5 pm local time
- Featured Pokemon: Shadow Ho-Oh (increased shiny encounter rate)
- Raid Passes: Up to 7 free Raid Passes from spinning Gyms (15 with a paid ticket).
- Special Move: Teach Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms) using a Charged TM.
Boost Your Chances:
A special $5 ticket will be available, boosting the maximum number of obtainable Raid Passes to 15. This ticket also provides a 50% XP bonus and double Stardust from raid battles, lasting until 10 pm local time on January 19th. An Ultra Ticket Box, including an event ticket and a Premium Battle Pass, will also be available for $4.99.
