Hello fellow gamers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 28th, 2024! Yesterday's presentation was packed with exciting announcements, including several surprise game releases. This usually quiet Wednesday is anything but! We've got news, a look at today's eShop additions, and the daily sales updates. Let's dive in!

News

Partner/Indie World Showcase: A Bounty of Games

Nintendo's decision to combine two smaller showcases proved effective, delivering a wave of announcements. Highlights include surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remakes, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory titles, and much more. Watch the video for a complete overview – it's well worth your time!

New Game Highlights

Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

A fantastic surprise! This third Castlevania collection features the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also includes a revamped version of the notoriously bad arcade game, Haunted Castle, thanks to M2. Exceptional emulation and features make this an incredible value.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer is a whirlwind of frantic action. Players must conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save their restaurant. A must-have for fans of Wario's handheld adventures, and a great choice for platforming enthusiasts in general. A review is planned!

Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

Another surprise release! It's Goat Simulator 3. Expect the usual chaotic goat antics in an open world. Performance on the Switch is uncertain, so proceed with caution. The game's inherent absurdity might even complement any potential performance issues. Ultimately, it's your call!

Peglin ($19.99)

A fantastic alternative for Peggle fans! This game blends Peggle mechanics with turn-based RPG roguelite elements. It's been a mobile hit, and the Switch version is equally enjoyable. A review is coming soon.

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft adds a popular license to its shop simulation formula. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story features characters from the beloved Doraemon franchise, and even includes cameos from the manga artist's other works. A charming addition to the genre.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

More Pico Park for existing fans! Up to eight players can enjoy local or online multiplayer in this cooperative puzzle game. The more players, the merrier! This sequel offers more of the same for those who loved the first game.

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)

An affordable rhythm game featuring Kamitsubaki Studio music. Simple, fun, and great value for the price.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game starring a penguin. One hundred levels of crate-pushing fun.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)

Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Players utilize character abilities and drawing to solve problems. Up to four players can join in locally or online.
