Serial Cleaner, the quirky crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Remember the 2019 release? This time, it's hitting mobile. Will it be a revamped and polished experience, or simply a port? Only time will tell.
The game throws you into the gritty (and goofy) 1970s, a decade seemingly inspired by classic crime films. As Bob Leaner, your job is to meticulously erase evidence of mob violence – bodies, bloodstains, the whole shebang – all while dodging the ever-watchful police.
Our 2019 review described the original as "half-baked but with potential." Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance for improvement.
A Fresh Coat of Paint?
Pre-registration is open, with a February 11th, 2025 release date. The extent of the changes remains unclear. While a polished re-release would be ideal, given the time elapsed, significant improvements might be optimistic.
The core concept remains captivating, but a simple mobile port dampens the excitement somewhat. However, for Android users who missed out, or iOS players experiencing compatibility issues, this could be a welcome surprise.
