Mackenyu Arata as Gennojo
Known for his portrayal of Roronoa Zoro in the live-action One Piece series, Mackenyu will voice Gennojo in both English and Japanese. Gennojo, a pivotal character in Assassin's Creed Shadows' feudal Japan setting, will reportedly assist the protagonist in eliminating a critical target.
Ubisoft describes Gennojo as a captivating character: "A charming rogue, reckless yet deeply conflicted, driven by guilt to reform a corrupt system. He's a flirtatious trickster, balancing wit, deception, and confidence. His strong sense of justice, particularly towards the vulnerable, fuels his willingness to risk everything to achieve his goals."
While the exact timing of Gennojo's appearance remains undisclosed, his significance to the game's missions is confirmed. Mackenyu revealed Gennojo's affiliation with the "Shinobi League" and hinted at the possibility of recruiting him as a companion throughout the game.
