Path of Exile 2: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium Endgame Events

Path of Exile 2's Atlas features four major endgame encounters: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. This guide focuses on Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous PoE leagues, explaining how to initiate events, navigate the encounter, utilize the passive skill tree, and maximize rewards.

Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic

On the Atlas, Delirium map nodes are identified by a distinctive white and black icon resembling the Delirium Mirror. You can guarantee a Delirium event by placing a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.

Within a Delirium map, locate the multicolored Delirium Mirror near your spawn point. Activating it unleashes a spreading circle of Fog. The Fog's difficulty increases as it expands; leaving the Fog ends the encounter. Enemies within the Fog are enhanced and drop unique rewards:

  • Distilled Emotions: Used in crafting and anointing.
  • Simulacrum Splinters: Used to summon the Pinnacle Boss.
  • Fractured Mirrors: Interacting with these spawns additional mobs and loot.

Random boss encounters with Kosis and Omniphobia may occur during a Delirium event, but these are not Pinnacle bosses.

The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event

High-tier Waystones within Delirium maps yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, which can be placed in the Realmgate. This initiates a challenging 15-wave encounter with increasing difficulty and a higher chance of encountering Delirium bosses in later waves. Completion rewards two Delirium Passive Skill points.

The Delirium Passive Skill Tree

Accessible via the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-left button on the Atlas Map, then top-right), the Delirium Passive Skill Tree (distinguished by its white coloration and mirror shape) offers modifiers to enhance rewards or add complexity. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each new Notable node requires a completed Simulacrum at increased difficulty.

Here's a selection of Notable Delirium Passives:

Delirium Rewards

Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. These unique currencies are used for:

  • Anointing Amulets: Combine Distilled Emotions to apply innate Notable Passive Skills.
  • Waystone Modification: Add guaranteed Delirious debuffs, increasing mob count and power.

Simulacrum Splinters, also dropped by enemies, are combined to create the Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event, rewarding Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed Unique item.
