MiHoYo, the Chinese developer behind HoYoVerse, has been busy lately. Their upcoming game, originally titled Astaweave Haven, has received a fresh name: Petit Planet. Even before a full reveal, the game is undergoing significant changes, hopefully for the better!
If you're a fan of gacha games or RPGs, you may have already heard of Astaweave Haven. However, official details from MiHoYo have been scarce. What we do know suggests a departure from HoYoVerse's typical open-world gacha adventures.
Instead of another gacha RPG, Astaweave Haven—now Petit Planet—appears to be a life simulation or management game, similar to Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley. This leads us to the exciting news: the name change!
The new name, Petit Planet, is quite appealing. It's charming and subtly hints at the game's likely management sim genre, differentiating it from MiHoYo's usual gacha RPG offerings.
Release Date?
The game's release remains unconfirmed. Astaweave Haven received Chinese approval for PC and mobile releases in July. On October 31st, HoYoVerse registered the Petit Planet trademark, now awaiting US and UK approval.
Given MiHoYo/HoYoVerse's rapid release schedule (remember Zenless Zone Zero following Honkai: Star Rail?), we can hope that once the name is approved, further details and gameplay will quickly follow.
