Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action game, previously known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back with a new title: The Hidden Ones. This exciting brawler, based on the popular webcomic, is slated for a 2025 release, with a pre-alpha test kicking off in January.
The game, set in modern-day China, follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's teachings are highly sought after in the martial arts world. He's not about to let them get away with it easily!
Recent gameplay footage showcases impressive 3D martial arts combat, including parkour-style movements, energy projectile use, and intense brawling sequences. Secondary protagonist Wang Ye also makes an appearance.
A New Identity
Tracking down information on The Hidden Ones has been challenging, given the franchise's multiple names. However, initial impressions suggest a truly impressive game from Morefun Studios. The darker, grittier aesthetic sets it apart from other 3D ARPGs, offering a more grounded feel.
The game's success, however, hinges on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material.
