The last major Baldur's Gate III patch entered the stress test stage

Baldur's Gate III's eighth and potentially final major patch is undergoing its stress test. While some Sony console players received early access, players opting out are advised to reinstall the game.

Patch 8 introduces highly anticipated cross-platform play, uniting PC and console players. Friends across platforms can join games provided they have linked Larian accounts. Remarkably, modded gameplay is also cross-compatible, subject to limitations: all mods must be available across PC, Mac, and consoles, and the host's mod count shouldn't exceed ten.

Xbox Series S users will finally experience split-screen co-op, a feature previously unavailable on this console.

Further enhancements include a fully customizable photo mode and twelve new subclasses, adding depth and variety. Bug fixes and balance adjustments are also included, although some issues may persist. A comprehensive changelog is available on the game's official website.
