Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week. His family is now seeking public support to cover mounting medical expenses and living costs during his recovery.
As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife Kim and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to help offset the substantial medical bills and lost income while he's hospitalized. The campaign states that Johnson remains in intensive care, fighting for his life.
The urgent need for assistance arose when Johnson failed to appear at a benefit event for the National Alzheimer's Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd. After contacting him unsuccessfully, his wife Kim alerted hotel security, who found him unconscious and barely responsive. Emergency responders had difficulty detecting a pulse.
His prolific video game work is largely associated with Bethesda titles. Recent roles include Ron Hope in Starfield. Other notable performances include Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in Morrowind, Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3, Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim, and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
