Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the diverse activities available within the game's villages. Players will assume the role of Indřich (Henry), engaging in activities ranging from simple tasks like herding sheep and drinking, to more complex interactions such as hunting, solving local problems (like finding antidotes), and practicing archery and crossbow skills. The game's release is slated for February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently faced unexpected scrutiny. Following the discovery of subpoenas within the game's code, activists launched a campaign to cancel its release. Figures like Grummz and other vocal critics have amplified concerns, drawing significant public attention.
These criticisms intensified following reports of a Saudi Arabian ban and subsequent online rumors regarding the game's content and alleged inclusion of "progressive" themes. Social media saw a surge of attacks against the developers, with calls to cancel the game and discourage further funding.
In response to the controversy, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to rely on official information and to disregard unsubstantiated online claims.
