Killing Floor 3 Delayed to Later in 2025

Tripwire Interactive has announced a significant delay for Killing Floor 3 (KF3), pushing the release date from March 25th, 2025, to a later, unspecified date in 2025. This decision follows a closed beta test that received overwhelmingly negative feedback.

In a Bluesky post on March 7th, 2025, Tripwire acknowledged the shortcomings of the beta, stating that the team "missed the mark." The post highlighted key areas needing improvement, including performance, stability, user interface/user experience (UI/UX), lighting, and weapon feel. The developer emphasized its commitment to delivering a game that stays true to the core Killing Floor experience while also pushing the franchise forward.

Player feedback on social media was largely critical, with many describing the beta as clunky, unpolished, and riddled with glitches. Concerns were also raised about the shift away from the series' horror elements towards a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic, and the character/class locking system in the beta. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly questioned whether the developers had forgotten what made the Killing Floor series special.

Tripwire concluded its announcement by expressing gratitude for player support and promising to share further updates as they become available.
