Critical Role Campaign 3 Ends Next Week With an 8 Hour Finale

Critical Role, the beloved Dungeons & Dragons show featuring voice acting stars like Matthew Mercer, Laura Bailey, and Travis Willingham, is bringing its epic Campaign 3 to a close next week with a spectacular eight-and-a-half-hour livestream event. As reported by Polygon, the grand finale begins February 6th at 7 PM Pacific/10 PM Eastern (3 AM February 7th UK time). You can catch all the action on Critical Role's YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as their membership service, Beacon.

This momentous episode concludes the captivating journey of the Bells Hells adventuring party, a saga that began back in October 2021. While no direct spin-offs or sequels for this specific group have been announced, Critical Role assures fans that the tales of Exandria, the world that serves as the backdrop for all their campaigns, will continue to unfold.

"This finale for Campaign 3 marks the end of one very epic chapter of Exandrian history," shared creative director and cast member Marisha Ray. "But while we celebrate the end of this chapter, it's important to know that the story continues with a simple turn of the page. I'm very excited to see what happens next in this story that remains to be written by the incredible emergent storytellers who are picking up the pen."

The conclusion of Campaign 3 doesn't signal a halt to Critical Role's regular programming. Another exciting spin-off, the Exandria Unlimited mini-series, premieres its first of four episodes just a week later on February 14th. Numerous other shows and streams are also planned for the future.

As for the highly anticipated Campaign 4, Critical Role remains tight-lipped about its launch date. Historically, there's been a few-month gap between campaigns (for example, Vox Machina concluded in October 2017, with Mighty Nein starting in January 2018, and Mighty Nein's conclusion in June 2021 preceded Campaign 3's October start). Given this pattern, the announcement of Campaign 4 shouldn't be too far off. Perhaps Critical Role's 10th anniversary on March 12th might be the perfect occasion for a big reveal, or even the series premiere itself.
