Where to Find Golden Rations
Golden Rations are primarily obtained through two methods in the early access version: exploration and cycle resets.
Exploration: Explore the map, searching for chest icons. These chests often contain resources, and some contain Golden Rations (indicated by a Golden Ration icon above the chest). Areas with Prisms (golden diamond icons) frequently have nearby Golden Ration chests.
Cycle Resets: Each Overgrowth instance constitutes a cycle, resetting when your revives (Rez count) deplete. Upon running out of revives, you can retry the map (losing some resources) or completely reset the cycle at the Cursed Outpost. Successful cycle resets, yielding sufficient points for a rank-up, reward you with Golden Rations.
What are Golden Rations Used For?
Golden Rations are essential for progression in Hyper Light Breaker. Their primary use is unlocking permanent upgrades at your home base: character enhancements and new vendor services.
They also unlock Sycoms, which define your Breaker's stats and passive abilities, significantly impacting gameplay style.
