In *Avowed*, you can obtain Hylea's Talon through various methods: purchasing it from merchants, discovering it in the wild, breaking down equipment, crafting it, and downgrading other materials.
Lluisa Melcer & Abritt Porrya: The Merchant Route
The quickest way to acquire Hylea's Talon is by visiting Lluisa Melcer at the Farmer's Market and Abritt Porrya in Piaza Mez Vidarro. These merchants, located in the early game area of Emerald Stair, sell up to 5 units each for 450 coins apiece. This provides an immediate and reliable source of the material.
Additionally, many unique weapons and armor can be broken down at your party camp workbench to yield Hylea's Talon.
Exploration: Unearthing the Talon
Similar to finding Paradisan Ladder in Dawnshore, Hylea's Talon can be discovered as a plant throughout Emerald Stair and other areas. The mini-map icon (shown in the image above) will help you locate these plants. While other plants share the same icon, a good amount of Hylea's Talon can be found by exploring during the Emerald Stair missions.
