Becoming a Hollow in the Hollow Era
Your journey begins as a Soul Spirit, a deceased entity. At this pivotal moment, you face a one-time choice: become a Shinigami or a Hollow. Opting for the latter transforms you into a Hollow by breaking all the links on your chain. Notably, your chain naturally deteriorates, with a link breaking every two minutes, ensuring your transformation into a Hollow within minutes, even if you take no action.
Warning: Embarking on your Hollow Era adventure as a Hollow can be monotonous compared to the dynamic life of a Shinigami. While Hollows boast a cooler aesthetic, the path to becoming a Vasto Lorde or Espada involves extensive grinding and repetitive tasks. Prepare for a time-consuming journey filled with tedious chores.
Hollow Progression in the Hollow Era
Your next goal is to evolve into a Gillian, a process that involves relentless grinding by defeating and consuming other Hollows. You'll reach the Gillian form at level 15, but at level 10, you can access the Hueco Mundo dimension via a Garganta gateway, simplifying the task of finding and consuming Hollows.

Gillian Form in the Hollow Era
As a Gillian, your primary task is to continue eliminating Hollows and engage with Hollow Pillars scattered across Hueco Mundo's desolate landscape. Accumulate enough Progression Points, and you'll be transported to your inner world, where you must defeat all Hollows. Successfully complete this challenge three times to evolve into an Adjucha.
Be prepared: the Hollows in your inner world are significantly tougher. Don't fear death, as you can retry this task as many times as necessary.
Adjucha Form in the Hollow Era
Now, the game gets exciting! As an Adjucha, you can choose to progress towards becoming a Vasto Lorde or an Arrancar. Let's explore the Arrancar path first.
Arrancar Progression
To become an Arrancar, interact with a Crystal Bush that appears every 30 to 60 minutes in Hueco Mundo, with an average of 45 minutes. Upon contact, you'll transform into an Arrancar, enabling you to use a keybind to transport back to Hueco Mundo. Here's a list of all Arrancar Ressurections in Hollow Era.
At level 50, you can pursue your Resurrección, but we'll cover that later. Currently, Arrancars can only utilize Kendo skills, with hopes for more skills in future updates.
Vasto Lorde Progression
Choosing the Vasto Lorde path requires you to continue defeating and consuming Hollows for Progression Points. However, be cautious: dying during this process results in a 1% loss of Progression Points.
A notable challenge is that many Hollow Era players remain stuck as Adjuchas due to the grind. To reach Vasto Lorde status, you need 800 Progression Points, earned as follows:
- Hollow: 1 Point
- Gillian: 6 Points
- Adjucha: 4 Points
- Vasto Lorde: 8 Points
- Arrancar: 8 Points
- Espada: 10 Points
Vasto Lorde form in the Hollow Era
Achieving Vasto Lorde status is more challenging than becoming an Arrancar. You must accumulate 800 race Progression Points and collect all Hollow Items, which have a random drop chance. Here's a list of Hollow Items by the creatures that drop them:
- Hollows: Back Fins (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 HP regeneration), Fin Tail (Legendary, 1% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu regeneration and +1 Speed)
- Gillian: Back Spikes (Rare, 10% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
- Adjucha: Tail (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Speed), Single Horn (Uncommon, 25% drop chance, +1 Strength), Double Horn (Rare, 10% drop chance, +2 Strength), Triple Horn (Epic, 5%, +3 Strength)
- Vasto Lorde: Spiral Horn (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
Becoming Espada in the Hollow Era
If you're on the Vasto Lorde path, your next step is to evolve into an Espada. The process mirrors becoming an Arrancar: head to Hueco Mundo, find a Crystal Bush, and interact with it to become an Espada.
To locate a Crystal Bush easily, go to Hueco Mundo, disable Atmosphere, Bloom, and Depth of Field in your options, and scan the area from a high vantage point.
How to Get Your Resurrección
As an Arrancar or Espada, your ultimate goal is to obtain your Resurrección. First, reach level 50, then visit Hueco Mundo and speak with Isen, the King of Hueco Mundo.
Isen will assign you the task of defeating 50 Arrancars. Upon completion, you can activate your Resurrección when your Rage Bar is fully charged and pulsating. Fill your Rage Bar by dealing or receiving damage. The default Resurrección keybind is "Y", and it deactivates when you run out of Reiatsu or Rage.
