The roguelike dungeon crawler Hades II receives a significant update, introducing protagonist Melinoë to the "Final Confrontation" beyond the Guardian of Olympus. The update's centerpiece is the arrival of Ares, the bloodthirsty god of war, complete with his unique and powerful Boons, promising a thrilling new dimension to gameplay.
Beyond Ares, players can anticipate a new animal familiar, challenging new foes, a revamped Altar of Ashes boasting fresh art and Arcana effects, over 2,000 new voice lines, and engaging new events. A Glimpse into the Future: Hades II's Third Major Update
While The Warsong update is still fresh, Supergiant Games has already begun planning the third major update, promising its unveiling "some months from now," as revealed in their Steam news post. Hades II remains in Early Access, with the developers stating that "it’s still too early to share our plans beyond that, including when our v1.0 launch will be." However, they offer a glimmer of hope, mentioning that the core structure of both the Underworld and Surface routes is nearing completion, and their focus is now shifting to enriching the existing content.
Following the release of all post-launch patches for The Warsong Update, Supergiant Games will prioritize the following:
