Test access to FromSoftware's new project will open only for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners. Registration will start on January 10, and testing is scheduled for February. This means that a significant portion of fans will be left without an early access to the game.
Bandai Namco hasn't revealed the reasons why testing is bypassing PC. But those lucky enough to be included will be able to be the first to try out the new game before the official release.
Elden Ring: Nightreign will carry on the plot of the first game while providing fresh experiences in a sinister environment. Console gamers get the opportunity to test the project before others do, and PC users can wait for updates regarding potential future testing.
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will no longer be able to "leave a message" in FromSoftware games. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained the decision in an interview. Elden Ring: Nightreign gaming sessions last roughly forty minutes each, and players won't have time to leave or check their messages.
"We disabled the messaging feature because there isn't enough time for sending or reading messages during sessions, which last approximately forty minutes."
