Accessing the Dark Aether Nexus and Initial Pack-a-Punch Location
Unlike previous maps, simply reaching the Pack-a-Punch location isn't enough. First, you must open the Doorway to Nowhere. This teleporter leads to the Dark Aether nexus.
Locate the Subterranean Temple. Progress through the map, opening doors until you reach it. Inside the Temple, find the altar and interact with it using the Amulet (you start with it). The Doorway to Nowhere will then activate.
The Pack-a-Punch machine initially resides within the Dark Aether Nexus, near the center. However, its position changes.
Finding the Pack-a-Punch in its Alternate Location
The Pack-a-Punch has two potential spawn points in The Tomb. The Dark Aether Nexus is always one location. The other is the Roman Mausoleum, an ornate ruin atop the Dig Site.
To determine its current position:
- Consult your Tac-Map: The main map and the Dark Aether Nexus have separate Tac-Maps. If the Pack-a-Punch icon isn't on one map, it's on the other.
- Observe the Stone Slab: A stone slab displays lit areas indicating the Pack-a-Punch's location. If the symbol is on the main map section, head there. If it's on a separate island, it's in the Dark Aether Nexus.
By following these steps, you can consistently locate and utilize the Pack-a-Punch machine in The Tomb, significantly enhancing your zombie-slaying capabilities.
