New Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep: Catch Sneasel and Weavile!
Pokémon fans rejoice! New Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sleep. As of December 3rd, 2024, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend – provided you know how.
Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile
Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect Sneasel and Weavile in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they appear as Dark-type Pokémon on Snowdrop Tundra. Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players, regardless of research location progress. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.
Sleep Types and Evolution
Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Maximize your chances of finding them by ensuring your sleep type matches. Sneasel is easier to encounter initially. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. Note that you'll still need to find Weavile in the wild for research data.
Sneasel and Weavile's Usefulness
Sneasel's value lies in its berry gathering capabilities (Wiki Berries) and its contribution to "Extra Tasty" dishes. Its ingredient requirements include desirable items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team.
